30 January 2013 [10:02] - TODAY.AZ
Georgia does not negotiate with Russia to return to the CIS, said on Tuesday Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zankaliani.

Thus, the Georgian Foreign Ministry has denied the existence of any contacts with the Russian side on the return of Georgia to CIS.

"I officially announce that there was no any contact with the Russian side on the return of Georgia to CIS. We have repeatedly stated about the immutability of the foreign policy of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration," - said the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.

On Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry officer Mikhail Evdokimov said that negotiations in order to return to Georgia in the CIS are under way.

Georgia withdrew from the CIS in 2009.
