Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili told reporters in Strasbourg that he is open to all types of contact with Russia, RIA Novosti reported.
On Monday, Saakashvili will address PACE and answer questions from members of parliament. The last time Saakashvili spoke to PACE as President of Georgia was in 2004.
"We are always open to any contact with the Russian government at all levels," Saakashvili said, adding that he intends to discuss urgent problems with Russia.
In particular, Saakashvili praised the fact that in recent years there has been an influx of Russian tourists to Georgia. He also noted that Georgia signed the documents necessary for Russia's accession to the WTO.
