Turkey will maintain a confident fight against terror until militants of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party finally lay down their arms, Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, TRT Haber reported on Wednesday.
According to him, Turkey will not yield to provocations by PKK terrorists trying to hamper the peaceful settlement of the problem of terrorism in the country.
Earlier, Erdogan said that Turkey's goal in the fight against terrorism is abandonment of the practice of terrorism by the PKK and departure of its members from the country.
Alongside, Erdogan said it is also important for Turkey to address the issue of terrorism with the minimum of casualties on both sides.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
