Russian, Georgian sides likely to meet in February

15 January 2013 [16:12] - TODAY.AZ
The next meeting between Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative Zurab Abashidze and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin is likely to be held in February. Zurab Abashidze made this statement stressing that the exact date of the meeting has not yet been determined.

It should be recalled that the first meeting of Abashidze and Karasin was held in Geneva on Dec.14 last year, during which the parties agreed that the dialogue will continue in this format on a regular basis.

As was noted, it is planned to hold a meeting of special representatives on the settlement of Georgian-Russian relations once every two or three months and if necessary more frequently. However, expansion of the format of negotiations is possible both in terms of the number of participants and topics of negotiations.
