NATO says Syria uses Scud missiles

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen confirmed Friday that Scud missiles were still being deployed in Syria, calling it the act of a "desperate regime", dpa reported.

"I can confirm that we have detected the launch of Scud-type missiles," Rasmussen told a journalist who asked if they had been fired in recent days.

"I consider it acts of a desperate regime approaching collapse," Rasmussen added.
