The second round of meetings of representatives of civil societies of Russia and Georgia taking part in the 'Georgian-Russian dialogue for peace and cooperation' will be held in Tbilisi on Monday. As the Centre for Cultural Relations, Caucasian House told Trend, the meetings will last until Nov.4.
The project implemented with the financial support of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office as part of the Conflict Resolution Fund programme aims at raising awareness of Georgian and Russian young professionals in Russian-Georgian relations and creating a platform for cooperation between them.
Participants of the second round will be well-known and young Russian and Georgian human rights activists. The main topic of discussions will be the situation with human rights protection in both countries. Meetings are scheduled with representatives of various government agencies, non-governmental organisations and independent experts.
The Centre for Cultural Relations, Caucasian House, launched the project 'Georgian-Russian dialogue for peace and cooperation' project in July 2012. The first round of meetings held in Tbilisi on July 23-29, was attended by Russian and Georgian young political scientists and specialists in international relations.
