Georgian Economy Ministry 's will be 'return to Russian market '

The return of Georgian production to the Russian market will be a priority for the Georgian Ministry of Economy, the candidate for Minister of Economic Development and Sustainable Development Giorgi Kvirikashvili told journalists after his introductory visit to the ministry.

He underlined that a leading part in settlement of this issue will belong to the Foreign Ministry with the Ministry of Economy contributing to the process.

According to Kvirikashvili, a return to the Russian market will depend on many factors and it is difficult to make forecasts.

He noted that the Ministry of Economy will fully support the promotion of export and involvement of investments.

Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 1. Around 14 parties and two political blocs participated in the elections.

According to full the preliminary data of the Georgian Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream coalition will receive 85 seats in the parliament, and the United National Movement, 65.

The leader of the Georgian Dream coalition has introduced new candidates for ministerial posts in the new Georgian government.

Ivanishvili himself will take the post of prime minister.
