'Some seek to spoil relations between President and PM'

03 October 2012 [17:45] - TODAY.AZ
There are forces willing to spoil the relations between Turkish President and Prime Minister, Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bag?s said on Wednesday, Anadolu agency reported.
He said that the views of the president and prime minister disagree on the EU issue, and this is normal.

He added that Tayyip Erdogan's opinion on most issues coincides with that of President Gul.

"I have been engaged in politics for 11 years and witnessed that there are forces interested in deteriorating the relations between Erdogan and Gul," he said.

Turkish Minister added that a difference of opinions testifies to political pluralism.

On September 30, the fourth congress of the Justice and Development Party was held. Erdogan was elected as the leader of the party for the third time.

During his speech, Prime Minister did not pay special attention to the relations with the EU.

While commenting on Prime Minister's statement on Wednesday morning, Egemen Bag?s said that the European Union applies double standards toward Turkey, that's why Erdogan did not pay special attention to the relations with the EU at the fourth congress of the ruling party.
