An earthquake measuring 4.5 on Richter scale took place in the Varzaqan city in Iranian East Azerbaijan province this morning, MEHR news agency reported.
According to the Seismological Center at the Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the earthquake took place at 04:26 (local time).
No damage and injured is reported as a result of the earthquake.
On Aug.11, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake rocked Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, killing more than 300 people and injuring about 2,500.
Also an earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale hit Varzaqan city of the East Azerbaijan Province of Iran on Sept.22.
