Ahmadinejad says world needs modern order

27 September 2012 [08:55] - TODAY.AZ
Addressing the 87th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Iranian president criticized the big powers for backing Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to invade Iran immediately after victory of the Islamic Revolution, reported IRNA.

President Ahmadinejad criticized the US administration for the way it dealt with Osama Bin Laden killing him overnight and throwing his body to the sea.

He said that the man responsible for the heinous September 11 terrorist attacks on US must have been brought to justice rather than be killed and thrown to sea.

Addressing the UN General Assembly session, Ahmadinejad said total foreign debts of only 18 industrial states exceed 60 trillion dollars while allocation of half of this sum would eliminate poverty from the face of the world.

He said economy dependent on consumption has led to human abuses in favor of a few interest groups.

Creation of paper assets by relying on power and dominating global economic centers is the biggest case of human abuse in the history and it is one of the main causes of economic crisis, Ahmadinejad said.

He said only one government has created 32 trillion dollars in banknotes.
Planning for development based on capitalist economy has encouraged unconstructive and destructive competition, said the president.
