Iran says US dual behavior on terrorism is not new

In reaction to the US government move to remove MKO from terrorist group list, Foreign Ministry Spokesman said US dual behavior on terrorism and manipulating MKO for their political interests is not a new issue.

Answering a question concerning US Foreign Ministry decision to remove MKO name from the terrorist list, Ramin Mehmanparast said that transferring members of the MKO terrorist group from Ashraf Barrack to another place is not an acceptable excuse for international community to ignore terrorist nature of the grouplet.

He stressed that in case of doing such a move, the US government should take responsibility for blood of thousands of Iranian and Iraqi citizens who were assasinated by members of this terrorist group.

The spokesman added if the US government removes the name of this group, with a long history in terrorist acts, from the list, it would be an act of violating international obligations and weakening global efforts in fighting against terrorism and will be condemnd by world public opinion.
