Ankara sends protest note to Paris

Turkey through its Ambassador in Paris Tahsin Burcuoglu has sent a protest note to the French Foreign Ministry after inclusion of a section on the so-called "Armenian genocide" in the history textbooks, the Anadolu news agency reported on Wednesday.

In addition to the protest note, a letter stating that the materials contained in the books do not reflect reality will be sent to the French Education Ministry.

Earlier, some Turkish media outlets reported that the French Education Ministry included a section on the so-called "Armenian genocide" in the history textbooks. In this regard, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that it would begin the appropriate checks.
