The composition is being submitted by the President of Georgia and the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze said at a meeting of the Bureau on Tuesday.
Former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili will lead the new government.
Former Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia is appointed Interior Minister, former Education Minister Dmitry Shashkin as Minister of Defence, Hatiya Dekanoidze is to be Minister of Education and Science and Dali Khomeriki is Minister of IDPs and Resettlement.
The other ministers retained their posts. These are: the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alexander Khetaguri, Minister of Corrections, Probation and Legal Assistance Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Environment Minister Goga Khachidze culture Minister Nika Rurua and Minister of Sport and youth Affairs Lado Vardzelashvili.
State minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze and for integration - Eka Tkeshelashvili and for the diaspora - Papuna Davitaia also retained the post. New State Minister for Employment Paata Trapaidze appeared in the government.
Bakradze noted that the president asked to declare a vote of confidence to the composition of the government which will be presented by Vano Merabishvili at an extraordinary session of Parliament. Prior to that, government representatives will be heard at the committees and factions of the Parliament of Georgia. Opposition factions have said they do not support the new government.
A new programme of the government of Georgia entitled More benefit to people is to be introduced at parliament.
Parliamentary Secretary to the Government Gia Khuroshvili, who submited the programme said it is "very ambitious, but real".
