Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said during an interview with IRNA that by exempting 11 Iranian oil customers from the United States' sanction, doesn't mean that Western countries have withdrawn from their position against Iran, but will continue being forceful until they be sure that Iran is still powerful, by never giving up its nuclear programme.
He added that Iran should be aware of its enemies' plans and be united against sanctions.
The U.S. announced last week that an 'initial group of countries comprising Japan and 10 European Union nations, have 'significantly reduced their Iranian oil purchases and thus qualified for an exemption from sanctions for a renewable period of 180 days under the law.
Under a law enacted Dec. 31, countries have until June 28 to demonstrate they have 'significantly reduced the volume of their Iranian crude purchases, or their banks that settle oil trade with Iran may be cut off from the U.S. financial system.
Salehi said that sanctions over Iran have made some tiny problems for the country, "but we will continue on our way".
"They would give up when our united resistance proves too much for them, but they haven't reached that point," Salehi added.
The Iranian foreign minister underlined that Iran can endure the West countries' pressure. "They enjoy playing tricks and tactics against Iran and we can bypass sanctions by our intelligence."
