Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan kicks off

The Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA V) has today started its work in Dushanbe, IRNA news agency reported.

Along with presidents of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan, the conference is also attended by foreign ministers of 40 countries and representatives of 33 international organizations. President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon are expected to address the conference.

The conference will discuss the economic situation in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of NATO forces.
