Some 40% of Armenian children live in poverty

21 February 2012 [15:27] - TODAY.AZ
The World Bank (BK) will give a credit of $80 million to Armenia. The intentions are the noblest ones - to help reducing poverty and promote social security, News.am reported. The aim of the WB is to fight poverty in the developing countries. However, their fight is not very effective.

According to the statistics on Armenia, 36% of Armenia's population lives in poverty, and as poor families have more children than rich ones, 40% of children in Armenia also live in poverty. And this is the result of the WB's fight against poverty with its credits.
