Tehran is ready to resume the talks on nuclear program with the six powers, however, it will not compromise national interests, Iranian permanent representative to the UN Mohammad Khazaei said in an interview with U.S. NPR radio station, Mehr news agency reported.
The United States, Israel and some of their allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program and have used this pretext to impose four rounds of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
"Iranian government is ready for serious negotiations with "the six", however, Iran will not discuses its lawful rights (on using peaceful atomic energy)," Khazaei told NPR. He stressed that those who think that Iran will change its principal approach to this issue, are wrong.
"Those, who think that the Islamic Republic of Iran will change its position and principles due to pressure and sanctions put on it, are wrong," Khazaei added.
"Iranian people have never given up their integral rights throughout their history".
