Iran says Western Democracy is big lie

Democracy in Western countries is a big lie, Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, while addressing the International Unity Conference in Tehran today, IRINN TV channel reported live.

Western democracy is a humiliation to humanity, but of benefit to capitalists. Today's advocates of rights and democracy are the world's colonizers, Ahmadinejad said. "Human character became the victim of democracy".

Ahmadinejad spoke further on about the global problems, namely mentioning the struggles that people have to go through in today's society.

"Nothing is changing, and nobody is happy. People have to look around and see that it is impossible to deal with world's status quo," he noted.

"Around 7 bln people live in the world, 3 bln of which are hungry, and 1,2 bln cannot even have a decent meal once a day," Ahmadinejad said. "Cruelty is everywhere as well as aggression and corruption, and there is no security, or justice".

Speaking of justice, Iranian president brought up an example of Africa, by saying "Africa is the place of God given wealth. Now all has been taken away by European and American companies, and people live in poverty there".

"Heaviest dominance by the arrogant powers has been imposed on the nations today. Imperialist powers have never before humiliated humanity to this extend," he underscored.
