Georgian real sector figures jump

Georgian real sector figures showed a steady increase in 2011, country's government reported. According to the Government, total vehicle registration increased by 13.5 percent in 2011 compared to the index of 2010 to 231,000 units. Meanwhile, the initial registration of vehicles increased by 7.6 percent compared to the results of 2010 and the secondary registration rose by 13.1 percent.

Moreover, total transaction in Georgian real estate market increased by 25.8 percent compared to 2010 and hit 510,000. Meanwhile, the initial registrations in this sector increased by 11.7 and the secondary real estate transactions rose by 29.2 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.

The number of mortgages issued in 2011 hit 112,000 (18.8 percent up).

The total construction permits by gross area issued by Tbilisi city Hall rose by 30.9 percent compared to the results of 2010 to 1.079 million squire meters.
