New quake hits Turkey

A new earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit Turkish city of Van on Friday morning, the Sabah newspaper reported. According to the preliminary data, no victims and damage are reported.

An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale jolted Van province on Oct.23 killing more than 600 people. An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale with epicenter in Edremit occurred in the province of Van on Nov.9, 2011. The earthquake destroyed 25 buildings, most of which were empty (people were evacuated after the earthquake in October). Some 40 people are victims of the earthquake.
