Iran will establish own int'l national Internet

In the near future Iran will disconnect from the World Wide Web by establishing its own internally operated web, Spokesman for Corporate Computer Systems of Iran Payam Karbasi said

According to him, Iran will establish its own internal national Internet, which will benefit citizens in the country. “Thus, Iran is will fully disconnect the worldwide web and will offer users isolated from the world’s own internal network of the so-called intranet. Speed intranet in Iran will be 2 Mgb/s”, - he said. Internal Iranian network will be ready for operation in two weeks.
