Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia marks his 79th birthday

A charity concert will be held on the initiative of Fund Iavnana and TBC Bank on Jan.4 - on the birthday of Catholicos Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II. Hundreds of people, including representatives of government, parliament, party leaders and ordinary people came to the Patriarchate to congratulate the Patriarch last night.

The anniversary evening will be held at the Griboyedov Theater. Famous Italian baritone Alberto Ronald will attend this evening in Tbilisi on Paata Burchuladze's invitation. The concert will be attended by the Symphony Orchestra of Opera Theatre under the direction of Gianluca Marciano.

Ilia II celebrates his 79th birthday. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II (Irakli G.Shiolashvili) was born on Jan. 4, 1933 in Vladikavkaz.
