Turkey responses to France

As a response to French parliaments voting on a legislative bill on so-called "Armenian Genocide", Turkey has recalled its ambassador Tahsin Burjuoglu from France for consultations, TRT Haber reported.

The above mentioned bill makes the denying the 1915 events that took place in Turkey as "genocide" punishable by up to one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros. At the voting in the parliament, only 45 of 577 senators were present, among which, 38 senators voted for, and 7 voted against the bill.
