National leader Heydar Aliyev`s memory honored in Almaty

The Public Union of Azerbaijanis in Kazakhstan has organized a commemorative event in Almaty to mark the 8th anniversary of death of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani community, heads of culture centers, journalists and others.

Chairman of the Public Union, Abulfaz Muslumoglu spoke of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s efforts to protect and strengthen the state independence of Azerbaijan. Other speakers at the event spoke of lifetime and activity of the national leader and his role in development of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations.
