National leader Heydar Aliyev`s memory honored

“Azerbaijan” Society in the United Arab Emirates organized a commemorative event to mark memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Azerbaijanis living in UAE, state representatives as well as representatives of the Turkish, Arabic and other communities attended the event. An exhibition featuring books and magazines on the national leader was also held as part of the event.

Azerbaijan`s Consulate-general in Aktau also hosted an event to commemorate national leader Heydar Aliyev. Consul general of Azerbaijan in Aktau Rashad Mammadov spoke of national leader`s lifetime and activity. A film about the national leader was displayed in the event.

Azerbaijan`s diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina held an event to mark the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Members of newly-established Azerbaijan-Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Group and Azerbaijanis living in this country participated in the event. The attendees spoke of the national leader`s great efforts to protect and strengthen the state independence of Azerbaijan.

Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan has also arranged a commemorative event to honor the memory of national leader. The event was attended by the representatives of the Embassy, Azerbaijanis living in this country, intellectuals, businessmen, and others. Ambassador Vahdat Sultanzade spoke about the national leader`s lifetime and activity, his great efforts to protect and strengthen the state independence.

Another event to mark the 8th anniversary of death of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Belarus. Speaking in the event Ambassador Isfandiyar Vahabzade spoke of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s great services to protect and strengthen the state independence. The event participants saw a documentary on Heydar Aliyev.
