Baku mulls Azerbaijani- Mexican ties

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met yesterday member of the Mexican Senate, Carlos Jimenez Macias and his accompanying delegation. The Minister said his country was interested in development of relationship with Mexico. He underlined the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in expansion of bilateral relations.

Mammadyarov underscored the necessity of boosting cooperation in all spheres, including interparliamentary one. The Minister also briefed the Mexican delegation on the ongoing talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He also thanked the Mexican government for its position on resolution of the conflict. The sides also discussed prospects for development of Azerbaijan-Mexico relationship, energy cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
