President Ilham Aliyev telephones Russian President and PM - UPDATE

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev telephoned Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Vladimir Putin on victory of the United Russia Party, which he leads, in the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and congratulation. President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin described the level of cooperation between New Azerbaijan Party and United Russia Party as “good”.

During the conversation President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stressed successful development of relations between the two countries, expressing assurance that these relations would further strengthen.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today telephoned his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. The Head of State congratulated the Russian President on the victory of the Yedinaya Rossia Party (United Russia Party), the list of which led by him, in the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

President Medvedev, in turn, thanked the Azerbaijani leader on the attention and congratulation. During the conversation the presidents expressed satisfaction with development of relations between the two countries in various spheres. They also expressed confidence that bilateral relations would further develop.
