Azerbaijan, Italy boost cooperation

Azerbaijani ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov visited Sicilia, one of the largest regions of the country. Ambassador met with Governor Raffaelle Lombardo to discuss cooperation in the fields of economy and culture. The same day, Azeri diplomat met with mayor of Catania Raffaele Stankanelli and prefect Francesca Cannizzo to discuss relations in economy, trade and tourism between Azerbaijan and Sicilia.

Cooperation between the two countries` Universities was in the focus of a meeting with rector of Catania University Antonio Recca. Development of relations between the business circles of Azerbaijan and Sicilia was touched upon at the meeting with vice-president of Italian Confederation of Commerce Pietro Agen.

Mr. Vagif Sadigov also visited the Maritime Institute of Catania, Enna city, some companies of Sicilia. Ambassador also gave an interview to Sicilian journalists.
