Pakistani media says 'Khojaly tragedy' one of most terrible pages in history

Pakistan`s Liberty magazine has published a story on Khojaly genocide, which was committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan`s Khojaly town. The article`s author calls the Khojaly tragedy “one of the most terrible pages in the history of mankind”.

The article says the genocide saw the massacre of hundreds of innocent people, including children, women and the old. The author says Seyran Ohanian, who was an officer of the 366th motorized infantry battalion, which committed the genocide against innocent Azerbaijanis in Khojaly, is now Armenia`s defence minister.

It also highlights an ethnic cleansing policy of Dashnaks and the Bolsheviks, which saw the killing of innocent Azerbaijanis in Baku, Sumgayit, Guba, Khachmaz, Zangazur, Iravan and other regions.

As for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the article says it saw the occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions of Azerbaijan by Armenia. “The conflict saw the killing of over 20,000 Azerbaijanis, with million people becoming refugees and IDPs.”

The article also emphasized the fact that Armenia continues to ignore resolutions of international organizations, including the UN Security Council, demanding an unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.
