Azerbaijan creates six new defense product zones

Six new zones of defense products have been created by the enterprises of the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry this year, Defense Industry Minister Yavar Jamalov said today.

He said during this period the volume of production increased by 1.9 times compare to the same period last year.

During this period, the activities envisaged by the state defense order program were continued.

Products were produced 3.5 times more on the basis of contracts with security forces compared to last year. The number of defense products reached 446.

Additionally, a 25-percent increase was reached in the production of civilian goods.
