Azerbaijan, Kuwait discuss development of relations

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met Monday head of the Kuwait-Azerbaijan Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Kuwait Waleed Musaid Al-Tabtabae and his accompanying delegation. The sides praised the current level of Azerbaijan-Kuwait relationship, Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

They noted great potential exists for development of relations between the two countries. The sides also stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary ties and parliamentary diplomacy.

Mammadyarov said direct relations between Azerbaijani and Kuwaiti parliamentarians would give impetus to bilateral cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres.

The Azerbaijani Minister also briefed the Kuwaiti delegation on the steps being taken to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He also highly appreciated the fact that Kuwait always supports Azerbaijan on the problem.
