President of Azerbaijan receives head of Italy-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, senator Rossana Boldi and Turkish delegation led by head of Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today the Turkish delegation led by head of Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez. The Head of State emphasized that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are `successfully developing in all fields`. The President said Azerbaijan hosted various international events on religious and spiritual values, including the 1st World Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku, expressing significance of “such events” in terms of expanding cooperation.

President Ilham Aliyev said the visit of the head of Turkey`s Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez to Azerbaijan will make a contribution to further strengthening ties in this field. The Head of the Religious Affairs Directorate conveyed greetings and best regards of President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Azerbaijani leader. Gormez said five years had passed since his last visit to Baku, adding he “is witnessing huge development in the country”.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked for greetings from President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked Gormez to pass on his greetings to them.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received head of Italy-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, senator Mrs. Rossana Boldi. The Head of State emphasized successful development of bilateral relations and good results in all spheres.

President Ilham Aliyev said the political relations between Azerbaijan and Italy are at the high level. The Head of State underlined that Italy is the biggest partner of Azerbaijan and Italian companies successfully operate in the country.

Aliyev said he was well aware of history of interparliamentary ties and the visit of the head of Italy-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, senator Mrs. Rossana Boldi to the country would expand relations even more.
