President Ilham Aliyev holds a range of meetings - UPDATE - PHOTOS

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev yesterday received President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The PACE President stressed the importance of the Baku Humanitarian Forum. He also said the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue was organized at high level in April current year in the Azerbaijani capital.

Çavuşoğlu congratulated President Ilham Aliyev for successful organization of the events which the PACE gives important to. The PACE President described the Baku Humanitarian Forum as continuation of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. He added organization of such events had already become tradition in Azerbaijan.

President Aliyev, in turn, thanked Çavuşoğlu for his participation in the Forum. The sides also expressed satisfaction with successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday received Slovakia`s former President Rudolf Schuster. Meetings held previously between President Ilham Aliyev and Rudolf Schuster were remembered at the meeting.

The sides underlined importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, stressing significance of the Forum for expansion of interstate and intercultural dialogue.

Slovakia`s former President highly appreciated the ongoing huge reconstruction works in Azerbaijan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the 9th President of the Republic of Turkey Suleyman Demirel.

The meetings held by national leader Heydar Aliyev and Suleyman Demirel, the friendship between them, the importance of the Baku Humanitarian Forum, the boosting relations between the two countries were focused on at the meeting.

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev thanked Demirel for his participation in the forum.
President Ilham Aliyev hosted an official dinner in honor of Suleyman Demirel.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received head of the Russian President`s Administration Sergey Naryshkin.

The parties noted importance of the International Humanitarian Forum co-organized by Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as, pointed out this event would contribute to expansion of international cooperation and boosting ties between countries and nations.

Successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in various spheres and further expansion of these ties was stressed during the meeting.
