Russian Space Forces commander: We are expecting results from the negotiations with Azerbaijan on the further use of Gabala radar station

“Russia is expecting results from the negotiations with Azerbaijan on the further use of Gabala radar station,” Russian Space Forces commander Lt. Gen. Oleg Ostapenko said, RIA Novosti reported.

He said the negotiations were being continued.

“Russian Defense Minister visited Azerbaijan this summer and had talks there. We are expecting results soon. If Russia were not interested in the lease of Gabala radar station, it would not hold talks,” he said.

The term of the lease of Gabala radar will expire on December 24.
