Burundian ombudsman praises Azerbaijan`s human rights record

Burundi`s ombudsman Mohammed Rukari has praised Azerbaijan`s work to protect human rights.
Rukari said the Government of Azerbaijan was doing a great job to strengthen the protection of human rights and freedoms in the country.

“Azerbaijan respects human rights and freedoms.” Rukari also praised Azerbaijan`s development.
The Burundian ombudsman expressed confidence “in a couple of years Azerbaijan will become one of the wolrd`s advanced countries”.

Rukari also praised the Baku-hosted international event marking Azerbaijan`s 20th anniversary of independence, saying such gatherings bring the participating countries closer to each other.
