Participants of international ceremonial event pay respect to Azerbaijan`s national leader

Participants of international event organized by the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence have today visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of architect and founder of Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev.

They put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The guests visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. They also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

The ceremonial event was attended by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. In the morning session, the Head of State addressed the participants.
