President of Azerbaijan pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev`s monument in Khachmaz - UPDATE - PHOTOS

The head of state visited statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at it.

Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov informed the President of Azerbaijan that special attention has been paid to the establishment of various manufacturing enterprises in Khachmaz in recent years. The reconstructed condenser plant is an important part of such activities.

The Khachmaz condenser plant used to be subordinated to the Severo-Zadonsk military works in the Russian town of Tula in 1981. It first operated as a small workshop, but a plant was built here in 1983 and the enterprise became fully operational in 1987.

It was indicated that various condensers manufactured at the Khachmaz condenser plant used to be exported to all republics of the USSR. In 1992, the plant was handed over to the Elektrolit Production Unit, while in 1993 it became part of the State Committee for Special Machine-building and Conversion. In addition to producing condensers, the plant manufactures consumer goods and provides paid services to the population.

President Ilham Aliyev also examined the Heydar Aliyev museum established at the enterprise. There are photos documenting the great leader`s contribution to army building and the work the Azerbaijani President has been doing in continuation of this policy to develop the defense industry.

The President reviewed exhibition of the merchandise manufactured at the plant.
It was indicated that the enterprise covers a total area of 24,000 square meters. Major overhaul and reconstruction have been carried out on the manufacturing area of 3,690 square meters. Special facilities and equipment meeting the latest technological requirements have been installed at the plant after building and reconstruction operations. This equipment is used in the production of different-purpose merchandise – compass prismatic binoculars with high magnifying power, K-1 collimators for cannons, MTON-44M optic sights for aiming 60, 82 and 120 millimeter mortars.

It was noted that PK-A collimator sights are intended for aiming submachine and machine guns. The sights enable high-precision shooting of targets from 5.45 and 7.62 millimeter Kalashnikov assault rifles and light machine guns at a distance of 300 meters. The optic sniper sights of various magnifying power are intended for aiming normal and large-caliber sniper rifles.

The President was informed that in addition to the mechanical and optical workshops, the plant has a section manufacturing industrial products. These mainly include household items. It was mentioned that 76 new jobs had been created at the enterprise. This is a testament to the fact that the government is paying continuous attention to the defense industry. As was the case in previous years, the implementation of the State Defense Industry Program has continued in 2001 and production of a number of new products has started.

It was noted that the Ministry of Defense Industry has been tasked with increasing production by 15 per cent, manufacturing new defense products, creating new jobs and raising the average wage in 2011. President Ilham Aliyev wished the plant staff further success and gave relevant recommendations and instructions.

As part of his trip to Khachmaz region, President Ilham Aliyev visited Heydar Aliyev recreation and entertainment park here. The President was told that the recreation and entertainment park includes Heydar Aliyev spring complex, Ilham Aliyev spring complex, samovar complex and entrance gate complex of Heydar Aliyev avenue. In the Ilham Aliyev spring complex there are a 15 meter height spring, three artificial waterfalls and 48 fountains. A very modern lightening system was also provided here.

The Heydar Aliyev spring complex was inaugurated in May, 2011. The complex has a 21 meter height spring, three artificial waterfalls and 80 fountains. All conditions were provided in the samovar complex for recreation and entertainment of Khachmaz residents.

Like Azerbaijan`s capital, regions of the country are also rapidly developing. Improvement of people`s social welfare and opening of new industrial facilities are important integral parts of general development process of regions.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here and gave certain recommendations.

President Ilham Aliyev yesterday inaugurated a Carpet Museum in Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan. The President cut the red ribbon and toured the museum. The museum displays 60 Azerbaijani carpets and rug items of northern weaving techniques. The Heydar Aliyev`s portrait on carpet by famous Azerbaijan painter Kamil Aliyev is one of the best displays of the museum.

President Ilham Aliyev also familiarized himself with Children’s library functioning within the Museum. The library occupying a total 1200 square meters, houses a collection of different kind of books and has an access to internet. The library has a collection of more than 29.000 books. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction at the museum and library.

President Ilham Aliyev yesterday inaugurated the Khachmaz Chess School here. The Azerbaijani President cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the chess school, and then toured it. The Head of State was told that the school was built in accordance with State program on chess development in Azerbaijan for 2009-2014, signed by the President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The facility occupying a total area of 720 square meters, meets international standards. The two-storey building got greenery, fountain and modern lightning system.

The Head of State viewed photo stands reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of sports, in particular chess and chess players. The President also viewed competition hall, classrooms and computer room here. The school is provided with up-to-date equipments.

As part of his trip to Khachmaz region, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today has visited the Museum of Personalities here.

The Head of State was told that the museum was founded in 2006 and reconstructed in 2010. Together with Nizami Ganjavi`s monument and busts of 39 Azerbaijani poets and writers, the museum features busts of the outstanding personalities in culture, arts and science.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here and gave certain recommendations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated Central Hospital of Khachmaz Region after capital repair. The Head of State was warmly welcomed by staff of the hospital.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the 110-bed facility features children diseases, surgery, anesthesiology, and intensive therapy departments as well. All departments have been provided with modern medical equipments.

The President was also told that, the preparation of registration cards for residents is underway. Such activities contribute to development of healthcare sphere in the country.

The Head of State met with staff of the hospital and residents of the region.

Physician of the hospital Mahira Karimova thanked the President for his care and attention to the development of healthcare in the country. The President and hospital staff were taken their photos.

President Ilham Aliyev today got acquainted with the reconstructed Heydar Aliyev Center in Khachmaz region. As stated, the Center includes a hall, six sections and three subsidiary rooms which provide with numerous photo materials reflecting the life and political activity periods of the great leader.

The Center is rich with variety of photo exhibits and archive materials to popularize the heritage of the national leader, and show a sample of devotedness for the coming generations to the motherland and nation.

The President viewed photo exhibits reflecting the reconstructed works and development of the region.

Today, on 23 of September, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan.

President Aliyev visited the monument of the Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev there.

The President was informed about the reconstruction and renovation works carried out around the park where the national leader`s monument was erected. All conditions have been created here for residents` rest.
