“The staff of the Azerbaijani embassy in Libya is at full strength,” Ambassador Agasalim Shukurov said.
He said it was calm in the city, the embassy’s building had not been damaged in the battles for Tripoli.
“Necessary measures are being taken to ensure security in the city. Posts have been set up on the roads. There is no shortage of water, food products and petrol in the city,” he said.
Noting that Azerbaijan recognized the National Transitional Council of Libya as legitimate government, Shukurov said cooperation between the two countries continued, the embassy had started working with the representatives of the new government.
