Presentation on the role of Azerbaijan in energy security of Europe made in the Netherlands

A presentation titled “Disclosing natural oil and gas opportunities in the Caspian region” was held in the Dutch city of Rotterdam. The event was attendee by diplomats accredited in the Netherlands, executives of the authoritative energy companies, and reps of state and financial bodies, research centers, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in this country said.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Netherlands Fuad Iskandarov made presentation titled “EU` energy security: New opportunities. View from Azerbaijan”, on the role of Azerbaijan in energy security of Europe. The diplomat gave detailed information about the development of oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan, the major principles of the country`s energy strategy, the investment conditions for foreign investors.

Iskandarov highlighted the participants on the newly discovered Absheron gas block on the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian. Energy specialist John Roberts, head of the ITE Group oil-gas sector Graeme Coombes, representative of Deloitte Consulting Company Martin de Jong and others highly assessed the investment environment created in Azerbaijan.
