Georgian first lady visits Azerbaijan

Georgian First Lady Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs yesterday paid a working visit to Baku. She visited the tomb of national leader Heydar Aliyev and renowned ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva at the Honorary Cemetery, the Georgian Embassy in Azerbaijan said.

She has also taken part in a session of the WHO Regional Office in Baku today.

Health ministers from 53 European countries gathered at the session. New achievements in the health system, tuberculosis strategy and proper use of antibiotics were discussed at the session.

While in Baku, first Lady of Georgia Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs also visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev, and honored the grave of the prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
