"Bulgarian Economy, Energy and Tourism Minister to visit Azerbaijan"

Bulgarian Economy, Energy and Tourism Minister Traycho Traykov will visit Azerbaijan on Sept.20-23, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Emil Karimov said.

Within the visit meetings are scheduled with the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev.

The sides will discuss the current state and prospects of trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as issues hydrocarbons supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe.

During the visit, Traykov will be accompanied by a delegation of the Bulgarian business circles, who intend to study new cooperation opportunities in Azerbaijan, Karimov said.

During the visit, it is expected to hold a business forum with participation of representatives of both countries’ business circles. Bulgarian companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in construction, tourism and infrastructure.

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $167.6 million in January-June 2011.
