Azeri ambassador meets rector of University of Jordan

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Elman Arasli has met rector of the University of Jordan Adel Tweisi. They discussed establishment of relations between the Baku State University and the Jordan University.

The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the universities shortly.
Arasli said Azerbaijan would celebrate the 20th anniversary of its independence this year. He added on this occasion the Embassy intends to hold “Azerbaijani nights” and exhibition in the University of Jordan.

Tweisi stressed the necessity of establishing cooperation between the two countries` universities.
The rector welcomed the intention of the Embassy to hold “Azerbaijani nights” in the facility.
Tweisi said he was ready to help the Embassy for organization of the event.
