Pakistan`s national holiday marked in Baku

Embassy of Pakistan in Baku hosted an official reception on September 7 on the occasion of the country`s national holiday – Defense Day.

After the anthems of both countries were performed, Ambassador Inayat Ullah Kakar welcomed the participants, highlighting on the history of Pakistan`s Defense Day. “Today is the day of Pakistan`s national unification to protect its independence from foreign aggressions’, he stressed. The diplomat informed on the successes his country gained in fighting against terrorism.

The Embassy`s military attaché colonel Rizvan Malik spoke of the importance of Day and relations of friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

The reception was attended by representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations, and public and media.
