Azerbaijan and Netherlands discuss legal cooperation

The Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council of Azerbaijan Fikret Mammadov received the Ambassador of the Netherlands in the country Aryena Uyterlinde, the official website of the Ministry said.

Mammadov said the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the justice ministries of the two countries has created favorable conditions for bilateral development of cooperation and ties in the legal field. Mentioning the significance of last year's visit of the Justice Minister of Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Mammadov also informed the ambassador about the judicial reforms undertaken in the country.

Uyterlinde said the Netherlands is interested in expanding ties with Azerbaijan. The ambassador appreciated judicial reforms implemented in Azerbaijan and put forward specific proposals for cooperation.

The sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. The ambassador also visited the Justice History Museum.
