The recognition of the independence of South Sudan will not affect the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Center for Political Innovation and Technology Director Mubariz Ahmedoglu said. He commented on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s statement.
"The international community recognized the independence of many structures prior to Sudan. The sensational was the recognition of Kosovo, and the recognition of Abkhazia was the most sensational in the CIS. If the recognition of Kosovo and Abkhazia did not impact the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh, then the recognition of Sudan will not affect it," Ahmedoglu added.
The independence of Nagorno Karabakh, as well as the independence of Southern Sudan is indisputable, Sargsyan said at a meeting of with the foreign ambassadors on Aug.29.
The political scientist said that the position of OSCE Minsk Group on Nagorno-Karabakh is clear and unambiguous.
