Kuwaiti team visited Azerbaijan Embassy in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti national team representing the country at Baku Open international karate tournament prior to the arrival in Baku visited the embassy of Azerbaijan in Kuwait.

The ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kuwait Tural Rzayev briefed the Kuwaiti delegation led by the President of Kuwait`s Karate Federation Abdulla Mahammad Al-Tureyj on Azerbaijan`s history, culture, nature and speedy developing economy.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the ambassador said that twenty percent of Azerbaijan`s internationally recognized territories are still under Armenia`s occupation, with over million Azerbaijanis becoming refugees and IDPs.

Tural Rzayev also dwelled on care and attention of the President Ilham Aliyev to the development of sports in Azerbaijan. The sides also discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait in the field of sports.
