Iranian FM denies Iranian Armed Forces Staff Chief's statements

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has denied the information about the statements made by the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Seyyed Hassan Firouzabadi.

"The statements do not relate to Firouzabadi," the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan said. "The disseminated news is the result of the media's misunderstanding."

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry official representative Elkhan Polukhov said that the Azerbaijani side has delivered a protest note to Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

He refused from making any comments as there is no official response yet.
