US ambassador congratulates Azerbaijani journalists

US ambassador to Azerbaijan Metthew Bryza congratulated Azerbaijani journalists on National Press Day. In his message US ambassador says: “On behalf of the U.S. Embassy, I congratulate all Azerbaijani journalists on National Press Day, which celebrates the 136th anniversary of the publication of Azerbaijan’s first newspaper, Ekinci. Free media is a fundamental part of democracy. Journalists’ work to inform society on important public issues from an objective prospective and in accord with professional and personal ethics is one of society’s highest callings. I look forward to continuing cooperation with Azerbaijan’s journalists and deepening our mutual respect”.
