Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly`s Chairman meets Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov has met here with Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan Debnath Shaw. Talibov praised cultural relations between the two countries and noted existence of potential to expand these ties.

The Azerbaijani official stressed India`s contribution to the world culture and noted that bilateral relations are deeply rooted in history. Speaking in the meeting, the Indian Ambassador recalled his first visit to Nakhchivan in 2009, saying “historic, rich culture and modern development of the region” made a deep impression on him.

During the two day visit the Ambassador is scheduled to visit several places of interest in Nakhchivan and hold a number of meetings.
