Vice-speaker of the parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Bahar Muradova addressed President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Petros Efthymiou and Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for the South Caucasus and Nagorno Karabakh Joao Soares concerning the act of vandalism committed by Armenians in Alibeyli village of Tovuz regions. The letter says:
No sooner had the ink dried on the Belgrade Declaration on the protracted conflicts, including Nagorno Karabakh, adopted during the summer session of the OSCE PA on “Strengthening the OSCE’s Effectiveness and Efficiency - A new start after the Astana Summit”, the Armenian side again took destructive steps. As you know, Aygun Shahmaliyeva, 13, was killed as a result of the act of vandalism committed by Armenians in Alibeyli village of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region. At the time when the process of negotiations is intensifying, Minks Group co-chairs visiting the region and efforts towards establishment of confidence between the peoples of the two countries are being discussed, Armenia is continuing its dirty policy aiming to kill innocent children by floating a toy with a built-in explosive device down the river. We express our concern over the abovementioned act of vandalism and ask you to take a stance on the fact.”
